Democrats are intentionally keeping people ‘unaware’ so they’ll remain ‘compliant’

Yesterday Wikileaks released another batch of John Podesta emails. Podesta is the chairman of Hillary Clinton’s Presidential campaign who also served as a Chief of Staff to Bill Clinton and an adviser to Barack Obama. The email was written byBill Ivey of Global Culture Strategies who worked for Bill Clinton during his Presidency, was a team leader on Obama’s transition team and is also a trustee of the Center for American Progress.

The Center for American Progress (CAP) was started by convicted criminal,America-hating multi-billionaire George Soros. Soros has spent billions of dollars pushing extreme leftism in America for years. Both Hillary Clinton and John Podesta were part of the creation of CAP.

“[CAP] hosts almost daily conference calls to reporters promoting its policy positions and responses to news events. The staff accommodates the press, eagerly arranging one-on-one interviews and supplying quot- able quotes for news stories. For reporters with deadlines crashing down on them, the Center is well-known as an easy quote machine. Podesta regularly appears on Sunday morning news programs…. Center researchers provide useful talking points for Democratic members of Congress…. To further spin the news, every weekday the Action Fund emails reporters a ‘progress report,’ a 400-500 word hyperlink-heavy analysis of the issue of the moment. The links often refer back to the Center’s own various blogs and website postings. It is a reliable echo chamber for left-wing conventional wisdom.”

Essentially, CAP is a spin machine for extreme leftism. Ivey is one of the trustees. He wrote the following in an email to Podesta:

And as I’ve mentioned, we’ve all been quite content to demean government, drop civics and in general conspire to produce an unaware and compliant citizenry. The unawareness remains strong but compliance is obviously fading rapidly. This problem demands some serious, serious thinking – and not just poll driven, demographically-inspired messaging.

His email starts off talking about how they were worried about money in politics but then refers to celebrity politics. What’s terrifying about this email is that he admits they (they meaning the left and it seems the complicit media as well) want to keep citizens unaware. In other words, they want to keep citizens dumbed down so they won’t rise up and they will remain compliant to their government overlords.

What they didn’t seem to calculate is that in their dumbing down of the citizenry they also create the ‘Kardashian’ or ‘Jerry Springer’ society in which people will be drawn to the shiny things as described so aptly by writer Duane Lester:

In my mind, I’m seeing an admission of an effort to create a citizenry that doesn’t understand government, their rights and is basically like a bunch of zombies on “The Walking Dead,” following whatever shiny object happens to be dangled in front of them, even if it leads them off a cliff. This has been a belief by many, but until now, it’s just been a belief. I don’t think I’ve ever seen it espoused by a leftist in such plain, deliberate terms.

It seems that Ivey is one of the spin masters for extreme leftism as proven from his own site about gun control. He admits that there is no way the left could confiscate every firearm in the country but he talks about shifting the discussion about gun violence to gun deaths. From his website:

Gun deaths are scary because the trigger process allows no space between impulse and catastrophe.  Confiscation is impractical; what can we do?  Car deaths were a problem; we couldn’t confiscate; society accepted seat belts.  Is there a “seat belt” for guns?  If the NRA won’t yield an inch on gun ownership, will it talk about gun deaths?  Will American culture accept a narrative of meaningful intervention?

Political Buzz has previously written about left wing extremist in Portsmouth, Police Commissioner Joe Plaia, who used “gun deaths” in his false ad against Senator Kelly Ayotte. In the ad, Plaia mentions gun deaths but never mentions the extremely small number of gun deaths and implies it refers to “gun violence.” Clearly Ivey had something to do with that. You see the same thing across the board with all gun control lobbyists across the country.

Many have already known that the left wants to dumb down society in order to keep them under control. You can see this in the public education system and the higher education system. The media is complicit. The media, including the media in New Hampshire, don’t ask tough questions, do not always report the truth and do not always report when citizens indeed show they are not compliant.

Hillary Clinton, Bill Ivey, John Podesta and all Democrats in leadership are part of the collusion to keep Americans ignorant and uninformed. This email from Ivey only verifies that it is intentional. The question is now whether or not they can stop the ignorant monsters they have created from being distracted by “shiny things.” Either way, it is Americans who will suffer the consequences.
